The problem

Gestational diabetes raises the risk of fetal macrosomia — excessive birth weight — which increases complications for both mother and child. Anticipating that risk early enough to act on it is difficult with episodic clinic measurements alone.

The burden is structural and rising. Gestational diabetes prevalence in France reached 16.4% in 2021, more than doubling since 2012 (SNDS / EASD Congress 2024); the weighted European prevalence is 10.9% (meta-analysis across 24 countries), and US prevalence has grown 36% since 2016 (JAMA Internal Medicine, 2025). Globally, fetal macrosomia affects roughly 9% of births — and 15–45% of pregnancies with gestational diabetes (Mayo Clinic). In France alone that translates into ~111,700 gestational-diabetes pregnancies per year.

Our approach

MFDeep applies StarDeep-built models to predict fetal macrosomia risk linked to gestational diabetes, with real-time inference running on-device and results delivered directly to medical teams — keeping sensitive maternal health data local while giving clinicians earlier, continuous insight.

Current status

A prospective clinical study is active with our French hospital partners. The program launched in partnership with Genopole and CHSF, with support from the France 2030 Innovation Program, and has been awarded a $300K non-dilutive R&D grant via France 2030 with Genopole. It is featured on the French government's digital-health innovation portal, gnius.esante.gouv.fr.

Alongside SweetDeep in diabetes, MFDeep forms the women's-health pillar of NeuTigers' Wearable-AI™ platform portfolio. This status describes the program's development stage; it does not imply regulatory clearance, approval or diagnostic status in any jurisdiction.

Collaboration need

We welcome additional maternal-health clinical partners, device partners and payers interested in women's health programs, in France and internationally. Partner with us.

Program scope

The current clinical focus is fetal macrosomia risk linked to gestational diabetes. The program's roadmap extends MFDeep toward broader women's health — non-invasive models for menstrual-cycle, fertility and menopause insights. These extensions are in development and carry no validated performance claims at this stage.

Evidence

Program status reflects the stage stated above; it does not imply regulatory clearance, diagnostic availability, or commercial deployment unless explicitly stated.
